Privacy notice
Updated September 2026
This page explains what I collect, why, how long I keep it and what you can ask for at any time. It is written to be read, not to be filed away.
Who handles your data
The data controller is Pietro Meloni, maths and physics tutor. For any question or request: [email protected].
What I collect
From the parent: name, surname and billing details (tax code, address, and for companies VAT number, company name and the electronic invoicing address), plus the contact we write on, email or WhatsApp number.
From the student: name, study programme and year, and the work done during lessons (exercises, notes, whiteboard, records, assessments).
About the service: the lessons taught, their length and the amounts, which is what invoices are made from.
Why I process it
To teach and arrange the lessons: performance of the arrangement you accepted (art. 6.1.b GDPR).
To issue and keep invoices: a legal obligation (art. 6.1.c GDPR).
To allow lessons with a student under 18: the consent the parent gives by signing (art. 6.1.a and art. 8 GDPR).
To use anonymised exercises and diagrams as teaching examples: only if you ticked that box, which is optional and can be withdrawn at any time.
Where it goes
Lesson materials and your private area sit on my own server, reachable only through the personal link you were sent.
A few ordinary tools process data on my behalf: email and document storage (Google), the messaging app we write on (WhatsApp), and the accountant for invoices. Nothing is sold, passed on for commercial purposes, or used for advertising profiling.
How long I keep it
Teaching materials and lesson records: while the programme is running and for two years afterwards.
Billing details and invoices: ten years, as tax law requires.
The signed document: as long as it is needed to show what was agreed, and in any case no longer than ten years.
What you can ask for
You can ask to see the data I hold, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict its use, to receive it as a file, and you can object to a given use. Write to [email protected]: I answer within thirty days.
If you believe something is wrong, you can complain to the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
The optional consent
The box about teaching examples is the only optional one, and withholding it changes nothing about the lessons or the price. A message is enough to withdraw it.
